Best places to study abroad

Studying abroad can open up a whole wealth of new opportunities. You’ll get to meet new people, explore new places, try new things, and potentially even learn a new language (depending on where you go). More and more student are choosing to pack up their things and study abroad, but where are the best places to go? Let’s take a look!

The UK

[post_ads]The UK tops our list of best places to study abroad, simply because it has some of the best universities in the world – think Oxford and Cambridge. In fact, many U.S. colleges were based on Oxbridge-style universities when they were built. There are plenty of places to choose from, with some of the most popular choices being in London. Living in the UK won’t be too different from living back home, either. You’ll be speaking the same language for one! However, bear in mind that universities in London and the South of England are generally quite expensive to study at, once you’ve factored in living costs. You might want to consider going further up North to Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester or even Scotland to keep costs low.

Who doesn’t want to move to Australia? The weather is amazing, the people are amazing, and there are so many incredible things to do and see. After a hard day of studying, you can simply hit the beach and work on your tan. Even in the winter… Bliss! There are also plenty of excellent higher education establishments in Australia to choose from. Melbourne or Sydney are the obvious choices, but also look further afield to places like Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.

There’s one huge reason why people choose Germany to study abroad (and it’s not the bratwurst). In Germany, most education is free. Even if you’re an international student! That means you can enjoy all the benefits of an excellent school system, without any of the high fees. Of course, you’re still going to have to factor in your living costs (which can be high in the cities), so bear this in mind before you book your one-way ticket to Germany! Some of the best universities in the country are the Technical University of Munich, the Free University of Berlin, and the University of Bonn.

We’re not going to lie… We kind of want to study abroad in Spain ourselves! Why? Well, not only do they have an excellent education system that doesn’t cost the earth, but it’s also Spain… That kind of speaks for itself. This is a great place to learn a new language, soak up the sun, enjoy some culture, and get an education. One of the most popular choices for international students is the University of Barcelona, but living in the city can be pricey. Consider options in Granada, Getafe, Valencia or Pamplona as well.

If you’re a foodie (like us), then you might want to add Italy to your list of places to study abroad. Italy is renowned for having some of the best food in the world – and everyone knows students live off of pasta and pizza! Anyway, back to the education part of it… There are plenty of universities in Italy to pick from, depending on whether you want to study in the city or further afield. Consider the University of Bologna, the Polytechnic University of Milan, and the University of Pisa as seriously viable options.
So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to pick somewhere incredible to study abroad, buy your plane ticket, and get on the next flight out there. We promise you’ll never look back!
